Passed away 3 February - age 60
Sloan, Richard “Dick” Alexander, age 60 of Greenwood passed away Friday, February 3, 2017, at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born September 7, 1956, in Debert, Colchester Co., NS, he was a son of the late James Angus and Evelyn (Clenndenning) Sloan. In his earlier years, while in the Canadian Armed Forces, Dick obtained his Red Seal for cooking, and loved to cook for his family. He was an avid outdoorsman. Dick loved music and making handcrafted knives.
Dick will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 40 years, Kathleen “Kathy” (Grant), sons; David Alexander, North Williamston and Michael Wayne, Greenwood; sister, Janet Evelyn Sloan (Neoma), Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; brothers, James Russell “Jim” (Elizabeth) Sloan, Aldershot; David Ian (Jacquie Meister) Sloan, Aylesford and one granddaughter; Meghan Sloan. By request cremation has taken place.
There will be a gathering for family and friends at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448.
