Passed away 17 January 2017 - age 69
RYAN, Parker Glenn – age 69, of Kingston, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Charles T. and Ivy P. (MacDonald) Ryan.
Parker retired as a Warrant Officer after 25 years with the Canadian Armed Forces. He was a school bus driver for Kings Co. for 23 years and was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing crib.
Surviving are daughter, Theressa “Tara” Ryan, Middleton; son, Parker Ryan Jr., Edmonton, Alta.; and their mother, Nancy Graham, Middleton; grandson, Malcolm; sister, Shelley Ryan (Paul), Sackville; brothers, Garnet (Linda) Ryan, Windsor; Larry Ryan, Lantz; Chris (Beth) Ryan, London, Ont.; Stephen Ryan, Cheverie, several nieces and nephews ; special “Tim’s” friend, Moe Montani, Kentville; special friend, Amanda MacLeod, Edmonton, Alta. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Bonnie Brown; brother, Dale Ryan.
There will be no visitation. Memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 27, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St, 902-825-3448. Mr. Harvey Prrest officiating, with interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton, at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses, Annapolis Valley Branch.
