Passed away 12 October 2005 - age 60
PYE, Ernest Milton Surrounded by his loving family, Ernie (Milt) passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 12th after fighting a courageous battle with Cancer at the age of 60 years. Throughout his battle he "Lived Strong", maintaining a positive attitude never letting others know how much pain he was truly in.Survived by his wife Gillian (nee Squarok), daughters Margaret (Charles), Santana, son John (Heather); grandchildren, Chanelle, Connor, Riley, Jenna, Kaitlyn and Marideth; sister Verna (Jack), brothers Bert (Leona), and Ralph (Carol); aunt Jean, mother-in-law Edna, sisters and brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Margaret and George, brother Bill, and father-in-law John. Ernie was blessed with many great friends and family members who loved and respected him for his strength, courage, wit, humour, spirit and culinary skills. He will be dearly missed by all! His family would like to give their gratitude to Dr. Gregson and the other great doctors, nurses and support staff at the Cross Caner Institute, and the Royal Alex Hospital. Extra thanks to staff in the Palliative Care Ward at the Grey Nuns Hospital for their exceptional and compassionate care. You are truly angels on earth! In lieu of floral tributes the family asks that donations be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or the Alberta Cancer Society. A Memorial Service celebrating Ernie's life will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, 5003 - 146 Ave., Edmonton, with Rev.
