It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Kato on Friday, February 9 at St. Joseph’s Hospice.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother George and his sister Florence. Frank was born in Okanagan Landing on July 9, 1932.
He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1955 as a Supply Technician. After thirty-two years on many bases in Canada and Europe, he spent several years at H.M.C.S. Quadra in food services.
Frank was a very private but generous person, giving freely of his time wherever and whenever needed. St. Joseph’s motto of Care with Compassion was evident in every aspect of Frank’s end of life care. Peace, comfort and dignity were the hallmarks of a most dedicated professional staff.
At Frank’s request, there will be no funeral service.
