Suddenly on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Diana and loving father of Cheryl, Richard and Loren. Dear stepfather of Debbie, Donnie & Denis. Proud grandfather of Richard, Courtney, Brennan, Lauren, Willem, Kiefer, Amanda, Patrick, Wolf, Sofia, Naomi, Olivia, Alisha and Samantha. Dear brother of Iris and Donna, predeceased by his brother Ed and his sister Barbara. Will be dearly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Frank served 37 years with the Canadian Forces, early on as an infantryman (where he earned his jump wings) and then for the majority of his career as a cook (and where he earned his Flight Steward qualification). Highlights of his career were his time as the Flight Steward leader at 412 and 437 Squadrons where he personally served members of the Royal Family, three Governor Generals, five Prime Ministers and various cabinet ministers. He served tours in the Congo, Egypt and the Golan Heights. Following his military service, Frank worked another ten years in the Public Service at Connaught Ranges as the kitchen supervisor.
A private Family Interment with Military Honours will be held at the Canadian Military Cemetery at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (or charity of your choice) appreciated.
