Passed away 24 October - age 55
Suddenly, Thursday, October 24, 2019, at the age of 55. Beloved husband of Bronwynn “Bryn” and loving father to Gregory, Gaelen and Ainsley. His loss is deeply felt by his family; his father Thomas Guymer and spouse Diane Bush, his mother Patricia Guymer, his in-laws Patricia, John and William Harris, his many extended family members and by all those with whom he served over his 31 year military career.
To honour Gary, those attending the service are encouraged to wear their running shoes in memory of his avid love of running, the times when he felt most at peace and to wear blue (not black) as it was his favorite colour.
Friends may pay respects at the Capital Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, 613-692-1211, Friday, November 1, 2019 after 12 noon. A Celebration of Gary’s Life will follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m.
In memoriam donations to the Wounded Warriors Canada are appreciated.

It is with a heavy heart and deepest sorrow, that I advise all who were not aware, of the unexpected and sudden passing of Lieutenant Commander (LCdr) Gary Glenn Guymer on Thursday, 24 October 2019. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loving wife Bronwynn, and their children, Gregory, Gaelen, Ainsley and the extended families during this difficult time. Bronwynn has requested that I advise all that she is extremely grateful and truly touched by the outpouring of support and generosity for the Guymer family. To allow them to grieve and mourn this devastating loss, Bronwynn has also asked that I remain the sole point of contact for the time being.
