Passed away 13 April 2015 - age 65
Following a short battle with cancer, Les Daniher died peacefully at his home in Callander on Monday, April 13, 2015, with family by his side. He was in his 65th year. Les was the beloved husband of Denise (Turcotte) of Callander; father of Scott Daniher (Lesley) of British Columbia and Odessa (Jon Sicord) of Petawawa and grandfather of Teela Daniher, AuLaura Daniher, Ava Morrison-Daniher and Daniel Sicord. Les is survived by his first wife Nora Daniher (Randy Boyle) of Ladysmith, B.C., and his brothers Tim (Janice) and John Daniher. He was predeceased by his parents Leona (Blondin) (1930-2012) and Stanley “Ray” Daniher (1920-2000) and by his brother Patrick (1953-2001). Les was a retired Royal Canadian Navy Chief Petty Officer, 2nd Class.
Cremation will be followed by a Celebration of Les’ Life on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 1 to 4 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 445, Callander.
