Passed away 28 June 2005 - age 80
EMERY ARSENAULT Peacefully on June 28, 2005, Emery passed away. Emery was predeceased by his wife Irene on June 9, 2005. Emery is survived by Elaine (Wally), Donald (Dolly), Robert, Merna (Ron), Valerie (Leonard), Janice, Randy (Michelle), Lorna (Dan) and Lorraine (Robert); grandchildren, Shannon, Lisa, Carla, Yvonne, Michael, Stephanie, Rachael, Kayla, Josh and Darnell; five great-grandchildren and mother-in-law Beatrice Lawrence. Emery was born in Moncton, NB on July 21, 1924. Emery and Irene were married for 25 years and resided in Winnipeg. Together they enjoyed many years of dancing to fiddle music, travelling and many endless drives to Birds Hill Park watching the deer. Emery served in the military for 23 years, followed by many years of employment at Stony Mountain Penitentiary. Emery loved fishing, telling jokes, watching sports and bird watching.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday, July 7 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Flowers are gratefully declined and a donation may be made in Emery's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. Fondly remembered and never forgotten.
