Passed away 10 September 2014 - age 84
The death of Melinda Mary (Lynn) Acorn occurred on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, in Burton, NB.
Born in Charlottetown, PE, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Myra Squires.
Lynn is survived by her sons George Acorn of Edmonton, AL, Sterling Acorn (Barbara Ann) of Geary and Michael Acorn of Lincoln; daughter Charlene Clark (Brian) of Terrace, BC; brothers Jimmy Squires, Kier Squires, Leigh Squires, and Gladdy Squires; sisters Helen MacDonald, Phyllis Stretch, Vera; grandchildren Lisa Pushong (Frank), Stacey Clark, Carson Acorn, and Jeffrey Clark (Jasmine) and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Lynn was predeceased by her husband John Carson Acorn; brothers Sterling, Willard, Elmer, and her sister Pearle.
The family would like to thank Rhonda and John Reid, along with the rest of the staff at You’re at Home Retreat for their kindness and great care towards Lynn. The family would also like to thank Gladys Bennett for always being there for Lynn.
In keeping with Lynn’s wishes there will be no visitation. A graveside service for family will take place at a later date. Donations made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
